VOCAL ZONE Singers
WEST BERGHOLT | EVERY TUESDAY
About Us
We are a mixed group of women and men and we sing for sheer enjoyment. The aim of the group is just to enjoy singing once a week with other people who love to sing and have fun.
As we are a friendly crew and we appreciate the time we have each week to catch up and have a chat with other members.
There is no need to read music as the majority of us use ‘words only’ song sheets and there is no need to have any type of singing experience, not even singing in the shower!
We are based in St Mary’s Church in West Bergholt however we are not affiliated to the church and are grateful to the church for allowing us to use their premises.

Summer Concert 2026
Once again, the Vocal Zone Singers performed their Summer Concert this year at St Mary’s Church at the beginning of July. We were excited about the concert, as our new Musical Director, David...
News Update
We still meet every Tuesday however from 15th September 2026 to 30th March 2027 we will be meeting at the new times of 12.45 to 14.15. We hope that this change will suit people who do not wish to go out at night during the winter. The venue remains the same which is St Mary’s Church in West Bergholt.
Everybody is welcome, there is no requirement to be able to read music (or be a great singer), and there is no pressure to sing in concerts, although we would love to see you there. Most importantly, there are absolutely no auditions!
The first session is a taster session and is free. Subsequent attendance costs £6 a session and is paid in advance, in six-week blocks. We have a very kind Treasurer who sends out gentle reminders, so we don’t fall behind with our payments. At present, you only pay for the sessions you attend however this system is kept under review as we need to maintain the group’s sustainability.
Singing with other people is great for wellbeing and mental health, so please come along and give us a try!
Free Taster Session and Membership
Our group offers a free taster session for potential new members. There is no need for auditions – enthusiasm is far more important! If you do wish to join us after your free taster session it only costs £6 a session.
On arrival you will be welcomed by Bev Allen our new members coordinator.
If you decide to join our group, you will be given a membership form and a welcome pack which contains general information about Vocal Zone Singers, details of the committee, copies of our songs and our constitution.
Please fill in your name and email address in the boxes below and we will get back to you with more info.
